Ribbon is a client side IPC - Inter Process Communication (remote procedure calls) - library that is battle-tested in cloud. It provides the following features

• Load balancing
• Fault tolerance
• Multiple protocol (HTTP, TCP, UDP) support in an asynchronous and reactive model
• Caching and batching
